Due to limited parking we ask no horses are tied to trailer and you warm up, compete and leave. We will happily post tests and rosettes if a SAE is left with a large letter stamp envelope. You are welcome to pop back in a car the same day or pick up a test sheet after the day.

Times will be published on Riding Club Results 3 days before the competition

Competition will start approximately 9am

TIMES – will be available on the Riding Club Results by the evening 16TH October – any requests re timings please add in the notes section when entering (we will do our best, but no promises)

 

 

Hats

All hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC PINK hat tag in place before they are worn on the showground, to show that  they meet the current safety standards. Horse Events hat tags are not accepted. There will be a trained official available on the  day to do this for you if your hat does not currently have one.

For any event with cross country riders must NOT have a fixed peak on their hat.

Flu Vaccinations & Microchips

Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Handbook. There is also a checking device on the BRC website. If you are unsure, please call BRC on 02476 840518, or you could contact your area rep / team manager. As of 1 October 2020, it is compulsory for all horses to be microchipped. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure the horse is chipped and it is traceable.

Flu vaccinations will be checked at the secretaries before you compete.

 

 

 

 

Rules & Conditions

THIS COMPETITION WILL BE RUN UNDER 2024 BRC RULES. Please note major changes from 2023 including no sensory hairs to be clipped and the new whip rules.

  • All hats must have a visible pink BRC/BE/PC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and competing, to show that it meets the current safety standards.   • From 1st OCTOBER 2020, IT IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT TO HAVE YOUR HORSE MICROCHIPPED.
  • The order and the rings that the classes are run on the day may be altered, depending on entry numbers.
  • No liability shall fall on the Organisers, Landowners, Judges or Officials in respect of any loss, damage or injury howsoever

caused and all competitors are deemed to be liable to indemnify the said persons in respect of any such loss, damage or  injury.

  • The ruling of the judges are final. All complaints must be put in writing and handed to the secretary with a deposit of £30 within 15 minutes of the incident, returnable if the objection is upheld.
  • Children under 16 must be under adult supervision at all times.
  • No entry will be accepted without full payment in advance.
  • No refunds whatsoever will be given unless a vet or Dr note is provided, then it will be minus a £3 admin fee.
  • In public areas of the show ground horses/ponies must be ridden/led at walk.
  • Please respect the hospitality of the landowners & take your litter home/use bins provided.
  • Do not clean out your horse box/trailer on the field.
  • Horses & ponies must not be left unattended unless correctly secured inside the trailer/lorry.
  • Age as of January 1st 2024.
  • All competitors must ensure that they have adequate/appropriate insurance for themselves, horses, property and third party.
  • The Committee reserve the right to ask anybody to leave the show ground.
  • If attending the Show on your own – you MUST leave an emergency contact name and telephone number with the Show Secretary when you arrive and pick up your number.
  • Photographs: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst at this event: these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed, please tell the photographer on entering the arena, before you start your round and when collecting you number as the organisers will be taking photos during the day.
  • Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event, BRC nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the

landowner or his tenant, accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, cars/lorries/trailers, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

  • The organisers of this event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all official stewards.

The making of an entry implies acceptance of the conditions above.
